About Me

Bowen Zhou is a Permanent professor in the Department of Electronics at Tsinghua University, Huiyan Chair Professor at Tsinghua University, IEEE Fellow, and Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Artificial Intelligence (CAAI). He has been engaged in the research, application and industrialization of basic theories and core frontier technologies of AI for more than 20 years, and his research areas include speech and natural language processing, multimodal content understanding and generation, knowledge representation and inference, human-computer dialogue, and trustworthy AI, etc. Meanwhile, he has been committed to the innovation and industrialization of science and technology products for many years, and led the efforts in the creation of a number of AI and digital innovation products. He has published more than 100 papers with more than 16,000 citations, granted dozens of patents, and several seminal papers with more than 1,000 citations. He has served as a member of the IEEE Speech-Language Technology Expert Group and an editorial board member of IEEE Transactions journals. He was honored with the 2020 Wenjun Wu Award for Outstanding Contribution to Artificial Intelligence. He has received the IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award and Outstanding Technical Invention Award for several times as the main technical accomplisher, and the IBM Outstanding Technical Leadership Achievement Award and IBM’s highest award “Best of IBM” as a technical leader and executive.
