Two of our post-docs win NSFC Young Scientists Fund grants

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has announced the results of its 2024 review. Two of the center’s post-doctoral researchers, Ning Ding and Zhiyuan Ma, both received Young Scientists Fund grants — for “Alignment of general foundation models for professional scenarios” and “Personalized knowledge-driven controllable multimodal generation” respectively. Warm congratulations to both!

NSFC grants are a widely used indicator of a group’s academic standing, and competition grows keener every year: the average funding rate for this year’s Young Scientists Fund was only 15.54%. Since its founding, the center has made the cultivation of young researchers a priority — improving the research environment, helping young scientists lead their own projects, and giving them room and support to do original work.

We look forward to more aspiring young people joining our team, exploring groundbreaking ideas and turning them into results that reach the bookshelves in academia and the shelves in industry.
